The wiring is over whelming at first but then you realize they only go in one way. The blue video cable, i finally realized needs to go from the module VID OUT to the factory monitor so the factory cable can be used with the EOM infotainment deck as its the only turned sideways that will work. You'll know what I mean when you go to hook it up. Everything is working so far, back up camera comes on quickly and the image appears on the OEM screen. However when in backup mode or just using the Infotainment system the image is askew or not tracking properly. Image is shifted left with what looks like a repeat image underneath it in the normal location. like its repeating the image or something. I decided to install this on Sunday and tech support is not open so I'll call tomorrow. I'm assuming it has something to do with those video cables or the dip switches on the back of the tadibro module. Nothing in the instructions mentions the dip switches so again, gotta call to find out. I'll update this after I talk to tech support and determine a fix. IF they can't fix - its going back - an messed up screen is going to be very annoying.
Relatively simple installation, if you're handy and able to follow YouTube videos on getting into the Mini dash. One weird and seemingly unresolvable thing: if your Mini has the Park Assist option, PA and the backup camera will 'compete' for the screen when you shift into reverse. Camera always prevails, but there is generally a quick flash of the PA screen just before the camera screen. This bothered us, since it really looked 'aftermarket.' Tech support was helpful, but offered no ultimate fix. Best solution was to deactivate the PA system by pulling its fuse. The excellent camera view with grid is a more than effective trade-off.
